GTCAC's 2-day symposium will feature a Keynote speaker each day. The keynote on November 4th is Mary Kay Bader, and the keynote on November 5th is Sarah Vance. Mary Kay Bader is an expert in stroke and anything neuro. She will present on stroke and brain-neuro assessment. Sarah Vance is a clinical educator and is known as iseeu_nurse on Instagram. She also has a website and offers a Critical Care Masterclass. Sarah will present two topics: ARDS and blunt thoracic trauma.
We have a great lineup this year with topics we haven't offered before. The agenda for November 4th has been uploaded and the agenda for November 5th is almost finished. In addition to Sarah's presentations, some others will include GLP-1's and GLP-2's, a presentation by a Lifelink lll flight crew, and Reducing Healthcare's Impact on Climate Change.
Again this year, November 4th will include exhibiting tables provided by pharmaceutical and medical device companies. November 5th will include tables hosted by nonprofit organizations and poster presentations.
More information will be coming regarding poster presentations. If you have been involved with a research project or something including evidence-based practice changes, healthy workplace, or workplace violence, etc... please consider a poster presentation on November 5th.

Neuro Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center Inc.
Practicing in a variety of hospitals (teaching/community) across the country, Mary Kay Bader has functioned in roles such as ICU staff nurse, trauma nurse responder, clinical educator, clinical faculty, and clinical nurse specialist. She has held clinical and joint faculty positions at Georgetown University and Loyola University of Chicago. Currently, Ms. Bader is employed as a neuroscience/critical care clinical nurse specialist working collaboratively with team members developing protocols and integrating technology into the care of the critical neuro and hypothermia patient populations. Ms. Bader has lectured locally, regionally, nationally and internationally on subjects such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, increased intracranial pressure, brain oxygen, pupillometry, stroke, neurointerventional therapy, hypothermia, and aneurysms.
