Perioperative RN - 240519 New

Medix is currently seeking a skilled Perioperative RN to join a dynamic surgical team. This role offers variety, balance, and the opportunity to work across multiple specialties in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Circulate across operating rooms to provide nursing support for various surgical specialties, including Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Plastics, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology.
• Assist with pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Oversee the workflow of surgical staff and manage the flow of daily cases.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-surgical care.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor them during recovery.
• Perform advanced procedures, such as ultrasound-guided IV placement, as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN accepted).
• Minimum of 1 year of operating room (OR) experience.
• Current nursing licensure in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS/PALS can be obtained post-hire).

Schedule/Shift:

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (flexibility required).
• The operating room typically closes by 4:00 PM, but shifts may extend slightly based on case timing.
