Position Description
Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practiacal Nurse (LPN) to join our Community Staffing team! The position would be supporting an assisted living/memory care community in Orono. The LPN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals. Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals!
Pay Rate: $39-$60/hour
Schedule: One full time position and one part time, both including every other weekend. Hours are 8a-4p or 9a-5:30p.

Responsibilities
- Passing medication and med set ups
- Wound care and treatments
- Supervising a CNA's/ PCA's on your shift
- Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, pharmacy and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
- Assist RN with assessments, admissions and discharges as needed.
- Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
- Work closely with the all team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
- Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.
- LPN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- CPR/ BLS certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
